Orchestra of Square Chapel – sponsorship opportunities for businesses

Orchestra of Square Chapel is a community-based, not-for-profit, chamber orchestra which performs at venues in Calderdale four times a year in October, January, March and June. We entertain our audiences with small-scale classical works by established composers as well as introducing less well-known pieces. We provide opportunities for young players to gain experience of playing with a professional-standard orchestra before going on to music college or university and for young local professional musicians to perform solos.

Donations, gifts in kind, advertising and sponsorship help us to maintain the high quality of our concerts, to extend the range of opportunities we offer local musicians and soloists and to perform exciting repertoire that sometimes requires additional players.

Donations

Donation, or gifts in kind, of any amount will be gratefully received.  All donors will be credited in our programmes for the season. 

Advertising

Our rates for an advertisement in our concert programme (A5 size) are:

  • ¼ page: £25 for one concert; £75 for the whole season;
  • ½ page: £45 for one concert; £135 for the whole season;
  • full page: £80 for one concert; £240 for the whole season.

Artwork (which can be in either colour or black and white) should be received in PDF format by:

  • 15th September for our October concert;
  • 15th December for our January concert;
  • 15th February for our March concert; or
  • 15th May for our June concert.

In the unlikely event that an advertisement does not comply with our values, we reserve the right to reject it.

Sponsorship

We offer 3 standard levels of sponsorship. 

Piece sponsor

  • Cost: £50
  • Opportunity to propose a piece for the orchestra to perform *
  • Credit as Piece Sponsor in the programme for the concert
  • One free ticket for the concert

Concert sponsor

  • Cost: £120
  • Opportunity to propose a theme for a concert and to propose a piece or pieces to include *
  • Credit as Concert Sponsor in publicity for that concert and in the programme
  • Two free tickets for the sponsored concert

Season sponsor

  • Cost £400
  • Opportunity to propose a theme for the season and a piece or pieces for each concert *
  • Credit as Season Sponsor in publicity and programmes for all concerts in the season
  • Two free tickets for each concert in the season

Other proposals for sponsorship will be considered by the orchestra on a case by case basis.

* Proposals will need to be approved by the Programming Committee in order to ensure that suggestions are suitable for the orchestra and fit into our season as a whole.  Concerts programmes are chosen each summer for the following October-June season.
